Editor:
So, The Chronicle used April Fool’s Day as an opportunity to blast President George W. Bush, straight white males, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ho-hum, how predictably droll.
Chronicle writers, already masters of leftist propaganda, have apparently now decided to become comedians as well.
It’s an admirable goal. Too bad none of the stuff they wrote was funny.
Folks, don’t quit your day jobs. Oh, sorry, I forgot: writing the tripe we’re used to seeing in the school paper IS your day job. Forget that last comment then, and for the love of good sense, PLEASE quit your day jobs.
Soon.
Failing that, here’s another suggestion. Next April Fools’ Day, try letting go of the liberal political activism for a change and try writing something that is actually thoughtful, tasteful, and funny-or at least mildly amusing.
That would be the most surprising trick of all.
