I am a student at the College of Law, which means I pay more than $4,000 every semester just to attend. And of course, I also pay for the privilege of using the parking lots on campus, just like everybody else.
Now, everyone knows how tight the parking situation is on this campus, so it kind of irks me when the campus decides to have a special event like a “motocross,” which takes up all the parking at the stadium. Not only that, they also take up all the parking at the law school parking lot by reserving it for people with passes for the event.
So people like me who have already paid through the nose to be here have to park elsewhere, so the campus can charge other people more money to park where I have already paid to park.
I don’t mind if the campus wants to have a special event to try to make some money.
I just wish they wouldn’t do it at my expense.
