Warfield Earns Weekly Honor For Utah State PerformanceSenior tailback Brandon Warfield was named the Mountain West Conference’s Football Co-Player of the Week after a blistering 173-yard, one touchdown performance, in the Utes’ 40-20 victory over the Utah State Aggies.It was Warfield’s play that got the U offense going, as he repeatedly got tough inside yardage and earned pivotal first downs. He shared this week’s honor with BYU tight end Daniel Coats.

MWC Awards Brower After Two Soccer Victories…Midfielder Amber Brower, a senior on the U soccer team, earned MWC Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring two goals and adding an assist in the Utes’ two weekend wins over Colgate and No. 17 Michigan.

Cross Country Team Completes ISU InviteThe U cross country squad participated in its first meet of the season over the weekend at the Idaho State Invitational, which also featured athletes from ISU, Utah State, Weber State, UVSC and Westminster College. The U women finished third with 104 points, while the men had 70 points to finish in fourth place.The Utes’ best finishers were as follows:
