Pimm continues to get recognition

Following an impressive September, Ute golfer Dustin Pimm has been named the Mountain West Conference golfer of the month.

This is the first time that the sophomore has won the award.

Pimm leads the MWC with a 70.11 stroke average and set the course record at the Purple and Red Invitational earlier in the month.

Who’s your Draddy?

Senior linebacker Spencer Toone is one of 63 national semi-finalists for the Draddy Trophy, an award dubbed the “Academic Heisman.” Toone graduated last May with a degree in sports management and is currently working toward his MBA. He has a 3.775 cumulative GPA.

Hoops season approaches

On Oct. 27, the U will host the annual “Night with the Utes” at the Huntsman Center. Starting at 7 p.m., the free event will feature skills competitions, scrimmages and previews of both the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
