Jacob Tripp’s letter (“Build more parking lots!” Oct. 24) contains interesting observations about parking, which was also a major hassle when I was a student. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

It appears that the old joke about the U’s “five-year baccalaureate degree” still applies-four years of study, and a year trying to find a place to park.
