The U has partnered with UTA for World Carfree Day on Friday, for which students are encouraged to use alternative transportation to ride to class.
More than 100 million people in 1,500 cities around the world will participate in the event, which aims to reduce car dependency.
To help students become carfree tomorrow, Commuter Services will distribute free UTA passes at Redfest. The U Cycling Club will also give free tune-ups from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
