While I don’t think professors are having backroom meetings with publishers, there seems to be no empathy from some of the professors. Why do they keep forcing us to buy a 300 page book for $190 — of which only 40 pages get utilized — then change editions every semester, making buyback a joke? This is a call out to all professors: Show a little empathy. We’re already being slowly priced out of education via tuition; don’t do it via the bookstore, as well.
