America is about liberty. Here, all people are entitled to equal rights. Thus, gay marriage is legitimate on the basis of free will. Yet if we are going to redefine marriage law for one minority group in society, it is biased not to redefine it for all. The high courts of America are passing biased marriage laws by only including one minority group. What about polygamy? It is also a form of non-traditional marriage, which is not recognized under the law in America.
If gay marriage is legitimate, then polygamy (in all its forms) is also legitimate. Every argument that works for gay marriage also works for polygamy. Are you just for gay marriage or for marriage equality?
