6:25 4th Quarter
Freddie Brown gets my vote for Most Outstanding Player. Utah has six minutes to hold onto this lead. Alabama will come strong and I’ve got to go to the field for interviews.
8:10 4th Quarter
Utah’s play-calling, overall, has been amazing. They are now running the wildcat at the right time to waste time off the clock. Unfortnately, Conley got a holding call that will cost Matt Asiata an impressive first-down run.

If Utah goes on to win this game, it’s going to be hard to decide who gets the game ball and the Outstanding Player of the Game award. Brian Johnson has been amazing, but so has Freddie Brown. He’s got 10 catches for 110 yards. Johnson currently has 311 yards on 25-for-39 carrying and three touchdowns.

Ironically, Utah’s most nail-biting plays have come on punt returns. They’ve had a fumble which R.J. Rice fortunately grabbed. Utah gave up a punt return for a touchdown and almost lost possession when one of it’s players was blocked into the punt return ball that was squibbing around the field.
10:24 4th Quarter
Utah faces another huge third down situation. Utah gets another huge stop and almost got a pick by Mike Wright in coverage. Coffee was back in the game on that play.
11:13 4th Quarter
This punt return scares me. Sakoda got lucky that his line drive actually worked out because the coverage team was not in position to cover that play. They still get it inside the 20-yard line. Kamrani brings up another good point. Alabama isn’t a team that’s built to come back from deficits very well. Utah can’t give up any big plays and they’ve been doing a good job of keeping things in front of them.

Darrell Mack knocked an Alabama backer’s hat off. He’s running hard and Utah is chewing up clock in the process.
12:33 4th Quarter
Freddie Brown has nerves of steel. That curl route looked a lot like what he did against TCU on the biggest fourth down of Utah’s season.
13:58 4th Quarter
Utah needs to avoid a safety and get the best field position possible. I know it sort of goes without saying, but they are right in the middle of the loudest Alabama part of the stadium.
14:09 4th Quarter
Despite being locked in their own corner of the stadium, Utah still managed to get a “Go. Utah.” off in fine fashion.
15:00 4th Quarter
Utah gets another great third down call and forces yet another Alabama punt. Unfortunately for the Utes it had more English than a Tiger Woods’ approach shot and will now work from their own end zone.
