“Utah seems to have a bad reputation for no reason at all.” Brian Trick’s entire column (“Utah deserves more respect,” Jan. 13) hinges on this statement, which could only be described as tenuous at best. Who says Utah has a bad reputation? The only reputation I’ve heard of Utah having is for being overwhelmingly Mormon, which isn’t necessarily good or bad.
And what kind of respect does “Utah rightfully deserve”? A plaque? A gold medal? A pat on the back? What a vague, pointless column.
