It isn’t often you come across a sore winner. In the past, our nation’s world of sports has been prided on fair play and good sportsmanship. Now, we seem to be seeing this dissipate at a very disappointing pace.
After Saturday’s rivalry game, BYU quarterback Max Hall paved the way for all of those sore winners and their dogs too. After the narrow victory, good ol’ Max decided to push things a little further. Among many extremely harsh statements, he discussed his hate for the U and everything involved with it. He continued to deem the Utes as “classless.”
Max crossed the line with these comments and ironically took his moment of glory and threw it in a blender, left with only his newly gained sense of self-pity. It’s time that Max, and the rest of the sports world, learn to speak with the ball instead of their emotions. Sorry Max, but the only one looking “classless” after Saturday’s game is you.
