A gas leak was reported at Shoreline Ridge 828 and 829 at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. The dorms were cleared by 3:30 p.m. until another leakage was detected at 6 p.m. “We’re not sure if this leak is a part of the first or if it’s a second leak,” said Scott Jensen, associate director of administrative services. “We’re providing the students with free food and drink at the Heritage meanwhile,” he said. Shoreline residents, about 129 students, were temporally restricted from the area until the leak was contained. Those who were not present in the building were notified through an alert text of the gas leak.
