Natalie Gochnour was named associate dean of the David Eccles School of Business. Gochnour will be in charge of building the reputation, relationships and relevance of the business school with community and business leaders in Utah. She will also be in charge of planning and implementing a new initiative to serve business and community leaders in the state.
Because of her assignment, she will report to the dean of the School of Business, Taylor Randall, and U President David Pershing.
Before coming to the U, Gochnour worked for the Salt Lake Chamber as the executive vice president for policy and communication. She held a position as part of the Downtown Rising movement, worked to secure funding for the TRAX and Frontline expansions, helped launch the Utah Health Exchange and assisted with the beginning stages of the Utah Compact. She will continue to serve as the chief economist for the Salt Lake Chamber.
“With deep roots working in the heart of Utah’s business community, [Gochnour] has a unique understanding of business leaders in the state. Her outstanding work in the public and private sector makes her a perfect addition, and I am confident she will be a positive force moving forward,” Randall said in a statement.
