I feel like festivals like this only hurt the equality movement. They tend to equivocate being LGBT with overt sexuality and lewdness. I understand that the shock value of these spectacles draws more people into festivals and generates more revenue, but it only serve to perpetuate the stereotypes that continue to create suspicion and prevent widespread acceptance of LGBT people into mainstream society. Attracting more people to festivals with public displays of hyper-sexuality is not the same thing as growing acceptance of the LGBT lifestyle. It time for this movement to evolve (i.e.-mature).
