On the very first OnDemand show for The Mix-Tape Invasion, hosted by Will Hatton, we started off strong with some new music by Jimmy Eat Word, Rogue Wave and Portugal. The Man.
Will followed up with some Me, Me, Me by Middle Brother, These Days by Dr. Dog and Heaven by The Walkmen.
After looking into a common theme for bands to release remixes of their popular songs, Will saw a common them of an group called RAC, or Remix Artist Collective. Will features 6 songs of theirs, with artists like Ra Ra Riot, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Tegan and Sara, Two Door Cinema Club and Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes. This is a break from the normal “club mix” remixes you typically hear, as RAC works to re-imagine an already awesome song.
The show continues with some Jake Bug, Ball Park Music, and Langhorne Slim. Jake Bug’s song Lightning Bolt was features on a Gatorade commercial.
