How would you describe your winter break?
While you were all enjoying the holidays and hanging out with friends and family, frequenting City Creek and Temple Square, I was slaving away, working hellish hours in retail at a dying mall, making sure all of you customers had the happiest shopping experiences should you choose to grace the mall with your presence during the week and even on Christmas Eve, the day after Christmas, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. So yeah, I guess you could say my break was just dandy.
Winter break was a magical time of joy and wonder that mostly consisted of me trying to find room for another piece of fudge while deciding whether to wrestle my brother for control of the TV (not as easy as it once was–he’s getting tall) or to just watch Netflix on my laptop.
Swelled up with traditional Swedish cuisine and homebrewed coffee, I relaxed in little, old Murray, Utah with my family, Saint Bernard, and Australian Shepherd. I saw numerous friends from out of state and shared old laughs and memories of awkward high school years. My greatest memory was finding time for quick trips along the way to a beautiful, secluded cabin. A truly great break to say the least!
Too damn short, just like this word count.
