MOUNTAINS FOR THINKERS
Mountains for thinkers
Appear as jagged teeth
A wolf’s salivating fangs
But for you
They are burial mounds
Of murdered stone
Trees for thinkers
Take shape of green flames
A bonfire of teeming life
But for you
They are solid husks
Of moldering bark
Snow for thinkers
Is only a frothing sea
A swirling white myriad of waves
But for you
It is a death mask
Of stinging cold ice
Life for thinkers
Becomes a soft oil painting
Brushed by the bleeding heart
But for you
It’s an endless stretch
Of pre-laid train tracks
