Book Collector’s Evening
Calling all book lovers, collectors and enthusiasts. Join rare book dealer Rebecca Romney in a night of observing and laughing at one of the most simple things humans make: mistakes. She will be telling the story of five books that speak to this notion. The history of the printing press is rich, but it’s important to remember not everything is picture perfect. People make mistakes, they mistype and forget to proofread and it reminds us that we’re fallible. The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 6-9 p.m. at the Alta Club. Tickets are $60, and RSVP by Feb. 9.
Valentine’s Cooking Class
If you’re looking for a way to spend Valentine’s Day with your significant other or are looking to do something to treat yourself, Lassonde Studios is hosting a Valentine’s Cooking Class that will immerse you in Persian cuisine. A three-course meal will be created through the use of savory ingredients like herbs, grains, spices and meats. The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 6-8 p.m., and registration is required.
Campus Symphony
