Walking around campus these days can be a bit confusing. I often wonder if I am at a university or trapped on a fashion runway. Is there a high number of good looking women on our campus or is it me? Women check out other women far more than men do. I don't mean in a sexual way (sorry guys), but in a cautious way--a "is this woman a possible contender for my future mate" way.

Woman Gives Birth During Car Chase

A UUPD officer recently pursued a car that had just run a stop sign. When he approached the vehicle, the driver told the officer that his wife was in labor. The officer gave the driver a police escort to the hospital, but, when they arrived at the door, the woman began giving birth.

Regents to Disclose Names of University President Finalists

The state Board of Regents chairman and vice chairwoman announced Friday they will recommend the board approve a policy that makes public the names of finalists for state college president positions. Revisions to the current policy will be made at the next Regents meeting in January and will go into effect during the current search for a Utah Valley State College president.

K-UTE Broadcasts Learning and Opportunity

K-UTE radio needs to be independent of the Associated Students of the University of Utah. The station enriches campus by providing educational opportunities that students can't obtain elsewhere. ASUU President Bill Edwards, who gave a brief report at the meeting of the Student Broadcasting Council last Wednesday, is investigating the possibility of making that happen.

Editor: I am very discouraged by The Chronicle's view on the wind power campaign in its Nov. 15 editorial "Wind Power? Not Right Now." Stating that it is unfair to ask students to pay as little as $1 per semester to benefit wind power in Salt Lake City is quite ridiculous.

There was a common theme in the postgame remarks of everyone associated with BYU following Saturday's 13-6 loss to Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium: disappointment. But the Cougars had a lot to be disappointed about because they had every reason in the world to defeat Utah.
