Punching a Swede?A Slovakian Olympic team member was blowing his air horn outside a residence in the Olympic Village, when a Swedish Olympic team member asked him to stop. The Slovak didn't, an argument ensued and the Slovak punched the Swede. Police responded, but the Swede didn't press charges.

Softball Comes Home, Gets Wins

Finally being able to play a game in the state helped the U softball team get back to its winning ways this past weekend in St. George, Utah. The Utes played five teams and beat three of them decisively before losing close games to top-10 teams. The Utes started the trip defeating Santa Barbara 10-0 after the mercy rule became effective.

Four Utes Named All-MWC

On the heels of a heart wrenching 57-56 loss to Wyoming for the conference championship, the Utah men's basketball team has some semblance of drive heading into the Mountain West Conference Tournament March 7 in Las Vegas. Four Utes received postseason honors, spearheaded by forward/center Britton Johnsen being named Mountain West Conference Player of the Year.
