Existing Eligibility Rules Make No Sense

April 14, 2002
A high school senior can declare for the NBA Draft, but a junior can't. A high schooler who declares for the pros can't change his mind and go to college instead, but a collegiate undergrad can. That is, if he hasn't signed with an agent and he officially withdraws from the Draft one week before the event takes place.

Niang Incident Reveals Academic Complexities

April 14, 2002
In recent years, a startlingly strong movement has sprouted up on university campuses that questions the fundamental doctrines of Western reason. Hostile to the claim that truth exists objectively and concerned with altering the structures by which knowledge is discovered, a large body of literature has emerged that criticizes the knowledge "produced" by "privileged" voices in universities.

April 14, 2002
After 25 years, Ruth Lowe is going back to school, something she has wanted to do for a long time. "I've sort of thought about doing it for years," she said.
