Last weekend a high-school aged activist, purple hair and all, gave me a pamphlet titled, "Why Vegan?" "Because you're a teenager and you want to piss off your parents," I thought. Nevertheless, amused by this young firebrand's enthusiasm, I opened up the glossy booklet to see if I could find a better answer to the question.

A massive tuition hike is on the horizon. Maybe student leaders can stop it, maybe they can't. Because tuition hikes are bad for students and bad for the economy, students must be hopeful that it can be stopped. Tuition increases are a part of higher education, but astronomical, unrealistic tuition hikes hurt students in every subsequent year, not just the year the increases start.

Tracksters to Compete In Year’s Second Meet

The Snake River Open in Pocatello, Idaho, will be the next hurdle the U track and field team will have to jump this season.
