November 28, 2001
Just as suddenly as the weather changed, so too did plans for the Office of Residential Living and the U Department of Transportation. The large storm over the Thanksgiving break covered most University of Utah parking lots with snow. On Monday, in conjunction with residential living, the transportation department decided to clear out lots at the Heritage Center residential halls, said Assistant Director for Facilities Ted Lazenby.

Involvement in Diversity Week Hindered by Poor Communication

November 28, 2001
The Union is celebrating its annual Diversity Week, but don't expect to see many U diversity groups at the festivities or involved in the events. November 28, 2001
From snowfall, eggnog and wrapping paper to casinos, strip clubs and Elvis impersonators, it's an odd confluence of circumstances that will define the Utah football team's Christmas day this year, but it's one the Utes are plenty happy to accept. After all, before the 7-3 Utes have even concluded their 2001 schedule, they now know it will be extended by at least one game, having accepted the Las Vegas Bowl's invitation to play the USC Trojans on Dec.

Michael Casey, a University of Utah senior studying English, died last Tuesday of unknown causes. "He was very much in love with his wife, and he was a gentle and kind husband and very loving and caring father. He loved his children as much as any father could," said Greg Rampton, Casey's father-in law.

Men’s Hoops Team Dropped by ‘Bama

November 27, 2001
To compete with No. 22 ranked Alabama Monday night on ESPN2, the Utah men's basketball team needed to have an answer for the Crimson Tide's quickness and defensive pressure. Utah also had to combat its own shooting problems that led to a 78-65 loss to Utah State last Friday.

November 27, 2001
Black paper shrouded art display cases in the Union Monday morning in observance of World AIDS Day. The practice of shrouding began in the late 1980s, when AIDS became an international epidemic. World AIDS Day takes places Dec. 1. "Since World AIDS Day falls on a Saturday, we held the events the week before," said Zack Wahlquist, Union Board director.

Air Force Does More Than Play Good, Solid Ball

November 27, 2001
The Utah football team plays the Air Force Academy this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colo. For the record, I hope Utah wins. The Utes have more riding on the game than Air Force does. Also, I would point out that my older brother attended the Air Force Academy.
