Alliance Officials Agree to Attend Power Talks

Patrick Leahy contains at least 23,000 anthrax spores, enough for more than two lethal doses, a federal law enforcement official said Tuesday. The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said there were three times more anthrax spores in the single sample taken from the plastic bag than in any of the other 600 bags of mail examined by the FBI before it found the Leahy letter.

State Asks Court to Hear Census Case

WASHINGTON?The state of Utah plans to ask the Supreme Court on Tuesday to hear its challenge to the 2000 census. If successful, the appeal would gain the state a House seat at North Carolina's expense. Earlier this month, a three-judge panel rejected Utah's claim that the Census Bureau had erred in counting the populations of the two states, which resulted in North Carolina adding a 13th House seat, while Utah fell just short of getting a fourth.

Gun Ban May Get Shot Down Soon
