Respectful protests are more effective

If gay-rights activists truly want to further their position in gaining more civil rights (a fair and reasonable appeal), the forum is not on the footsteps of a place considered sacred by any religion and unleashing lewd, drunken profanity. The correct forum is working through legislative channels where the issues are eventually presented to the voters for ratification.

Look beyond summer blockbusters at a theater near you

You don't need to go to a blockbuster movie every week to see a good film. Although big-budget movies can be exciting, art-house films bring a dynamic that is rarely seen in most big-budget films.

ASUU pres creates committee to oversee student fees

Because of cuts to its operating expenses, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts eliminated three of its 15 full-time positions in May. It also reduced the working hours of the 12 remaining full-time staff members from 40 hours a week to 32.

When you apply to graduate programs you are reduced to a set of numbers and a couple of nice letters about you from professors or employers. Your GPA and appropriate graduate school admissions tests allow you to be sifted to the yes, no or maybe piles on an admissions officer's desk.
