The Focus and Spork Parties' presidential, vice presidential and senior class presidential candidates answered questions about sustainability efforts and homecoming week at a debate Wednesday night. The debate, held at the Heritage Center, was the first of this year's Associated Students of the University of Utah elections season.

After 12 years away from Malibu, Calif., Wilson will be returning to his Alma Mater to help newly hired head coach Tom Asbury rebuild Pepperdine's men's basketball program.

Going into Wednesday night's contest at TCU, Runnin' Utes head coach Jim Boylen knew his team had to stop the Horned Frogs' dynamic trio of Brent Hackett, Kevin Langford and Alvardo Parker. So much for preparation. TCU's big three had their way with the Utes throughout the game and the result was a 67-61 loss for Utah -- its third consecutive defeat.

Our Legislature keeps reloading the clip. On Capitol Hill, carrying weapons at the U seems to come up with every new session. This year, the concern is a matter of clarification. House Bill 473 would rewrite state firearm code so that concealed weapons permit holders would be allowed to visibly carry their firearms on public school campuses, in hospitals and even in Rice-Eccles Stadium during a heated rivalry game.
