After starting out the season with a hopeful 7-3 record, the Utes dropped five games at the Wildcat Invitational.

Despite having yet to practice outside in Salt Lake City, the Utes have adjusted well to the outdoor play and have started their season with a 7-3 record.

The Utah women's softball team improved to 7-3 on the season as it went 4-1 at the Louisville Slugger Classic during the weekend in Las Vegas.

The Utes' 2008 season was filled with impressive upsets over top teams such as Texas, DePaul, San Diego State and Texas Tech, but despite being able to collect big wins, the team also suffered disappointing losses against teams such as Utah State and UNLV.

The Utah women's softball team earned a 3-2 record in its season-opening weekend at the Red Desert Classic in St. George.

The team will head south to take part in the Red Desert Classic in St. George, where the Utes will play five games in the three-day tournament.

The Utah softball team usually gets underway in the spring, but this season, the games are beginning in the fall. Utah is competing in eight exhibition games to prepare for the 2009 Spring Season.

In the first half of their Fall Schedule, the Utes have been focusing on getting everybody settled and ready for the upcoming season.
