Samantha is in her second year at the University of Utah, pursuing a double major in sociology and psychology. She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and came to Utah for the outdoors. In working for the Chronicle, she hopes to bring attention to important and often overlooked issues and to develop as a writer. In her free time, she can be found hiking, attending local concerts or traveling the West Coast.
