Response to “Cult! Fear and loathing in College Station.”

By [email protected]

Mr. Bellamy, Your article was found to be very funny around many circles on campus. I found it to very truthful in some respects but way off in others. I am the proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2007. After reading many of my fellow Ag’s responses I know you are now aware that there are five Yell Leaders. Also that we Attend Midnight Yell, not “The Yell.” These are only minor mistakes compared to and I quote “…What can you say about a town that simultaneously symbolizes everything that is right about college football, and everything that’s wrong about our nation’s educational system?” To let you know a little about what is wrong about our educational system I am currently enrolled in the bets Petroleum Engineering School in the nation. Our engineering College is second to none. And our school spirit far surpasses anyone’s. You’re right it is a cult but “From the outside looking in you can’t understand it, from the inside you can’t explain it.” This is kind of cliche I know but after being a part of , yell practice, football games and silver taps you know that “Once an Aggie always an Aggie.” Thanks and Gig’Em
