President search comes close to fruition

Raise the roof: ASUU compensation goes up

This time around, everybody in the Associated Students of the University of Utah will get his or her raise. Last July, ASUU President Adrian Johnson backed a bill that increased compensation for members of the Executive Cabinet, General Assembly, Student Senate and Elections Committee, but he refused the raise for himself.

Big bugs living in Red Butte Garden

Red Butte Garden will literally have big bugs in its gardens this spring. Wood bugs the size of cars are being displayed throughout Red Butte Garden as a part of David Rogers' Big Bug show, which will run until June 27. The show is kicking off the 11th season of Rogers' exhibits and marks the second time the U has displayed his work.

American Indian Awareness Week at U

Monday marked the beginning of the 32nd Annual American Indian Awareness Week on the U campus. This year's theme is "Unity and Diversity Through History. Anthony Shirley, program coordinator and Inter-tribal Students Association adviser, says the week is an important event because it promotes learning and breaks stereotypes.
