Union holds 14th annual Wellness Fair
October 28, 2004
The 14th annual Wellness Fair was held Wednesday in the Union Ballroom from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Many organizations were in attendance to give out information and free knick-knacks as well as food.
Gaelyn Derr, with the Utah Animal Assisted Therapy Association, was trying to recruit volunteers and their pets to do therapy with people in hospitals.
Conger Green Chiropractic was another company that gave students a $65 invitation to the doctors’ office for a week if they scheduled an appointment.
Some students found the information helpful. Kenalee Clark, in pre-dentistry, said that she attended the event specifically to get information and after talking to some people, now knows which direction she is going in dentistry.
Carlos Domingumez, a political science major, said he plans to take a yoga class he heard about at the event. “There should be an event like this held more than once a year,” he said.
