I had to wait a day to settle down after reading your article (“Most students happy with amendments, initiative results,” Nov. 3).

Otherwise my commentary would have included unprintable segments due to my outrage.

The fact that some people in the gay community are willing to raise a child speaks volumes about their love and courage.

There are also those who believe in the strength of family as a means of keeping children safe from drugs, crime, and violence.

We should be welcoming these people who are willing to give their time, money and love to the cause of a better future.
