Letter to the Editor: Y fans should cheer for a U win

Editor:

The whole MWC conference should want Utah to beat BYU this Saturday.

Sports radio hosts in Denver, whose audience includes fans of Air Force, Colorado State and Wyoming, say that the best thing for the MWC is for Utah to win big against BYU. I would argue that BYU fans should cheer for a Utah win. I grew up a BYU football fan in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Wyoming, but for the past couple of weeks, I bleed red.

The MWC may finally get some respect and recognition when the BCS committee meets to tweak the system for future bowls.

I may never have been a Utah man, but GO UTES!

James DeVore

Denver, Colo.
