Gymnastics falls to No.2 in latest rankings
January 26, 2005
Following a 195.95 performance Friday night at Oregon State, the Red Rocks dropped to No. 2 in the weekly poll. It was the first week the poll measured the average of all of the team’s meets. The first two polls were based on best meet score.
The recent poll sets up a match-up of No. 2 and No. 3 on Friday, when Michigan visits the Huntsman Center.
The Utes will be no stranger to top-10 teams for the rest of the season. Including a win over now No. 1 UCLA to start the year, the U will play five teams that appear in this week’s 10 best.
They will face No. 8 BYU twice, No. 5 Florida in the Huntsman Center and No. 6 Georgia on the road.
