Thorburn has been a force since she arrived at the U her freshman season. She received some long-overdue recognition Monday when she was named a First-Team All-Conference selection as well as MWC Player of the Year- a title she shared with Kim Smith. Thorburn finished the regular season as the conference leader in assists with 6.5 per game and she led the MWC in scoring in conference games with an average above 19 points per game. Thorburn is a member of the Canadian National women’s team and will likely threaten the all-time assists mark at the U next year.
