Women’s Hoops: A closer look at the U starters: #4, Kim Smith

Smith recently won her third consecutive MWC Player of the Year award. This year she shared the honor with teammate Shona Thorburn. Smith leads the MWC in both scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.8 points and 9.1 rebounds. Smith has dominated women’s basketball at the U from the moment she arrived, leading the Utes in scoring all three years of her career. She is a member of the Canadian National women’s team and will likely threaten the all-time scoring mark at the U during her senior season.
