Women’s Hoops: A closer look at the U starters: #45, Jessica Perry

Perry didn’t enter the season as a starter, but she found her way into the starting lineup six games into the season and remained there from that point forward. Perry, along with Deanne Hanchett, is attempting to fill the holes left by last year’s frontcourt. Perry showed her potential in an early January contest when she led the Utes in scoring with 22 points against Northern Colorado, but stepping up against top-tier opponents has been an issue. Perry led the Utes in rebounding three times and finished the year fifth on the Utes in scoring with 6 points per game. As a part of the Canadian connection established by head coach Elaine Elliott, Perry is one of three incoming Canadians this season.
