In March, the AmericanBoard of Radiology rankedthe U first out of 190 programsfor the five-year period 2000-2004.The School of Medicine’s diagnosticradiology residencyprogram has been rated numberone in the United Statesand in Canada for seven yearsrunning.This past year, more than 400medical school graduates appliedfor only five spots in theU’s radiology residency program.All of the program’s graduateswho have taken the radiologycertification exams in thepast five years have passed ontheir first attempts.Edwin Stevens, chairman ofthe department of radiologysaid the program’s success isbased on education, researchand patient care, as well as having”good people.”Catherine Callister
