“Domino”Directed by Tony ScottThese days, Keira Knightley plays a sneering tomboy better than anyone. See what happens when you give her cigarettes, a shotgun and a license to kill in this bounty-hunter flick directed by caffeine-for-brains Tony Scott. (R)

“Elizabethtown”Directed by Cameron CroweOrlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst make doe eyes at each other when Bloom returns home for his father’s funeral. Reportedly, in an effort to make his sixth film especially cute, Cameron Crowe wrote his script on the hides of a hundred baby seals. (PG-13)

“The Fog”Directed by Rupert WainwrightA deadly, undulating vapor menaces a sleepy, ocean-side town. The noxious fumes were released when The Chronicle’s staff finally decided to crack a window. (PG-13)

“The Talent Given Us”Directed by Andrew WagnerIt’s reality…but it’s not! Director Andrew Wagner casts his real family as his real family in this surreal road trip flick. The guy must have a strong stomach-how would you feel about filming your parents in bed? Yuck! (NR)

“Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress”Directed by Sijie DaiA pair of teenage girls (BFF!) are plucked from the city and plopped down in the mountains for some good, old-fashioned Maoist re-education. It’s good to see the school system really working. (NR)

“The Shining”Directed by Stanley KubrickRedrum! Redrum! No, it’s not a mixed drink at Shaggy’s (Thank you! Thank you! I’ll be here all night!). Jack Nicholson’s eyebrows star in this classic horror film, playing at the Tower this weekend. (R)

“Open Hearts”Directed by Susanne BierA married woman has an affair with the doctor who’s treating her crippled husband, who in turn was run over by the doctor’s wife. Ah, that old chestnut. So where’s the evil twin with the patch over his eye?Catch this very plausible film at the OSH Auditorium this Sunday at 7 p.m. Admission and parking is free. (R)
