This past summer, I attended some concerts at Red Butte Garden. On my drive out, I noticed the parking strip of lawn near the Residence Halls and was appalled to see the number of sprinklers watering the lawn.
Correct me if I am wrong, but we live in a desert, and I know Mayor Rocky Anderson has asked residents to Xeriscape to conserve water. If residents are following his advice, shouldn’t the U? I shudder to think of the university’s water bill and encourage the landscapers and gardeners to move to low-water plants and help conserve water.
