Men: San Diego State 53, Air Force 49

By Cody Brunner

LAS VEGAS–The Falcons had a simple strategy against the Aztecs-foul early, foul often. It didn’t work. The Aztecs’ Lorrenzo Wade and Ryan Amoroso combined to shoot 19-of-21 from the charity stripe and the result was a San Diego State victory. Amoroso finished with a team-high 15 points and five rebounds while Wade came away with 12 points. The MWC Defensive Player of the Year, Tim Anderson, was all over the Aztecs from the start and finished the game with seven steals in addition to his game-high 17 points. Teammate Andrew Henke pitched in 16 points in the loss.
