Not too late to choose a major

By Andrew Cone

Students who haven’t decided on a major will have a chance to attend the last major exploration workshop of the semester today.

Attendees will receive information packets that include handouts to assist in the major exploration process, and counselors will be on hand to assist students and answer questions.

“It’s really to help students learn about the process of exploring majors and give them a good starting point for exploring majors,” said Steve Hadley, academic advising coordinator at the University College.

“It’s something we’re doing in collaboration with career services and the counseling center to really help students determine what their obstacle is as far as choosing a major,” Hadley said.

“Hopefully by meeting someone in each of these three offices they’ll find the resource that’s going to be helpful for them to move forward in the exploration process,” he said.

The workshop will be in room 380 in the Student Services Building from 11:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Seating is limited and must be reserved ahead by calling 801-581-8146.
