U student a finalist in football fan contest

By Jake Hibbard, Staff Writer

Tiffany Benton, a senior in international studies, is one of the five finalists for Hershey’s “I’m a Big Fan” contest to find America’s biggest college football fanatic.

The contest has contestants send videos of themselves going wild at a college football game to enter. Joyce Benton, Tiffany’s mother, entered her daughter into the contest without her knowledge with a video of Benton screaming in the top rows of Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Whoever the masses choose through online votes at Hershey’s website as the “big fan” wins four tickets to a 2010 game of his or her choice as well as several tailgating accessories.

“If I win, I’ll go to the BYU versus Utah game,” Benton said.

Final voting for the contest ends Monday, and people can vote on the contest at www.hersheysbigfan.com.
