Med school gets support from ARUP

The U School of Medicine is about to get $8.5 million a year to help support the department of pathology, among other programs, courtesy of ARUP. According to Ronald Weiss, senior vice president of ARUP Laboratories and director of business development, blood transfusions for patients at University Hospital is only a small part of what ARUP does.

U ROTC prepares for water combat

On Thursday, the HPER swimming pool was filled with uniformed Army cadets carrying rifles. The cadets jumped from the 10-foot diving board while blindfolded and swam with heavy load-bearing equipment around their waists, all while having to keep the barrels of their rifles from getting wet.
