The Chronicle’s View: New Director Holds Promise For Women’s Center

On Monday, Debra Daniels began her tenure as director of the Women's Resource Center. Daniels is replacing outgoing director Kathy Brooks, and hopes to make a positive impact on both the center as well as the U campus. With the implementation of a new director, there are sure to be changes made within the center.

Jensen Impresses at State Amateur Tourney

A group of U golfers performed admirably this past weekend in the Utah State Amateur Tournament held at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. After dominating the first two rounds of stroke play, Utes grabbed four of the top six seeds going into match play. One Ute made it all the way to the 36-hole match play final on Sunday.

Beginning this year, U students are being asked to register for dorms online through the WebRoomz program, which some U affiliates believe will be a time saving convenience.

Construction Slows As Summer Closes

Driving a car around campus is about to become a little less of a headache, at least compared to the last few months. From the Union Loop to Wasatch Drive, U construction is coming to an end, and should be all but complete by the beginning of Fall Semester, according to Joseph Harman, manager of U Campus Design and Construction Services.

College of Health Dean Looks to Improve Facilities

He's only been here a few weeks, but Jay Graves, the new dean of the College of Health, knows he'd like to improve his facilities. "We have a first-class faculty and first-class degree programs, but we don't have the facilities. It'll be one of our biggest challenges," Graves said.

New MRI Scanner May Revolutionize U Research
