MWC Title on the Line This Weekend

Chris Bellamy Chronicle Sports Writer The red-hot Utah volleyball team faces its most critical stretch of the season, as they play their two final conference matches with the Mountain West title on the line. The No. 21 Utes (20-6, 9-3 MWC) are a game behind first-place Colorado State, and the teams go head-to-head at Crimson Court Friday night, before Utah closes its MWC season by hosting Wyoming.

Women’s Hoops Romps Again

Despite a slow start and poor shooting, the U women's basketball team won their final preseason game Thursday, topping the Northwest Sports Stars 67-39 in a sloppy ball game. The Utes had previously defeated Danish club Horsholm BBC in their exhibition opener 90-43.

Editor: I am writing in support of Adam Benson's Nov. 12 column, "Boy Scouts Teach Discrimination to America's Youth." Don't get me wrong, I am a staunch supporter of First Amendment rights and the freedom of assembly, but there is something fundamentally wrong and disturbing with the Boy Scouts' decision to exclude atheists and homosexuals from their ranks.
