The list of preseason expectations continue to pile up for the U football team. After having already received praise from Athlon and The Sporting News, Football News became the latest media outlet to tout the U and its players as the News' preseason collegiate football issue hit the stands July 15.

WASHINGTON?Federal investigators are conducting raids nationwide on jewelry stores owned mostly by Pakistanis, hoping to break up fronts for terrorist groups or their financial backers, U.S. officials say. The raids have taken place in several cities over the past two weeks, including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and New York.

Convict Suspicious In Kidnapper Case

SALT LAKE CITY?A handyman who worked at the home of 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart has been arrested for an alleged parole violation and is at the top of the list of potential suspects in her disappearance, police said earlier this week. Richard Albert Ricci, who has a 29-ayear criminal record, was questioned by police the day after the girl's apparent abduction and was among those re-interviewed because he did painting and yard work at the home.
