Kappa Sigmas Placed on Probation

Greek Row is holding on to one of its largest fraternities, at least until a March 23 meeting of the national organization of Kappa Sigma which will ultimately decide the fraternity's fate. U administrators are calling on the national organization to revoke Kappa Sigma's charter after a Jan.

The "Molympics" are over. The "Green Jello" and "Missionaries on Bikes" pins are sold. The anti-Mormon literature has been swept up and put in the trash. $5M Offered for Pearl Kidnappers

WASHINGTON?The State Department said Wednesday it is offering a $5 million reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of those responsible for the kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. A high-ranking Pakistani diplomat said Wednesday in Islamabad that Pakistan does not object to handing the chief suspect in Pearl's killing, who is in custody in Pakistan, over to the United States, but that certain legal issues must be resolved first.

Man Convicted of Sept. 11 ID Fraud

NEWARK, N.J.?A man has been arrested and charged with helping a Sept. 11 hijacker obtain false driver's licenses and identification cards, federal authorities said Wednesday. The FBI charged Abdel Rahman Omar Tawfiq Alfauru with producing fake identification.

OGDEN?A property owner who was forced to remove signs critical of Ogden from his vacant building just hours before the Olympic torch arrived has filed suit against the mayor and city. Ogden filed misdemeanor charges and a civil suit against Bruce Edwards, whose signs proclaimed "Ogden City Is Not Safe,'' "RAPE'' and other anti city messages.

MPA Program Manager Dies

Wendy Rice, long-time U employee and manager of the Master of Public Administration program, died in her sleep from massive heart failure Thursday, Feb. 21. She was 49. Rice, a graduate of the same program she went on to manage, also received a bachelor's of arts degree from Westminster College of Salt Lake City.
