Snow Cancels Softball Series With No. 2 Arizona

U softball coach Mona Stevens has canceled this weekend's games with No. 2 Arizona because of "way too much snow." Stevens said she called Arizona softball coach Mike Caldrea and told him not to make the trip to Salt Lake City because the field could not be made playable by Saturday.

The wet weather, although desperately needed for the state's water needs, may cause some havoc for the U softball team. No. 2 defending NCAA champion Arizona is scheduled to come to Salt Lake City this weekend. It would be a great opportunity for the U softball team to get a high-ranked team onto Ute Field.
