Albus Dumbledore is gay. It's true. The former headmaster of Hogwarts prefers the company of men. He walks around in long, elaborate robes. He spent a summer trouncing around Europe with a male-companion-turned-jilted-lover. He even owns a phoenix, Fawkes, who could be described as "flaming.

Roles reversed in soccer win

In sports, roles are rarely set in stone. Sometimes the passer becomes the scorer, and vice versa. That's precisely what happened Sunday when Ute midfielder Kelly Isleib -- who has garnered national attention for her passing prowess -- scored her first goal of the season in the 88th minute, lifting her team to a 2-1 win over San Diego State (8-7-3) at Ute Field.

Cross Country Flu season has found a new victim in the Ute Cross Country team, plaguing the runners last week and into Saturday's Mountain West Conference championships. The Utes took home fifth place in the 6K run -- led by sophomore Alyssa Abbott and juniors Lauren Endersen and Chelsea DiGrazia.

FORT COLLINS -- It didn't matter whether it was Darrell Mack or Ray Stowers in the backfield for Utah -- yards were easy to come by against Colorado State on Saturday. Utah (6-3, 3-2) piled up a whopping 322 yards on the ground against the Rams (1-7, 1-4) and left Hughes Stadium with a 27-3 win.

Sigma Chi recognizes favorite professors

Members of the fraternity Sigma Chi honored 12 professors Wednesday night for their relationship with their pupils. Each teacher receiving the Distinguished Teacher Award was recognized with a plaque and words of praise from the group members and Leon Peterson, a Sigma Chi alumnus.

Brighton outlaws early jibbing

Brighton Resort recently posted some new signs. But they weren't shiny new welcome signs or a new trail map. The signs banned preseason riders from jibbing on Brighton's rails and boxes. They read, "Due to vandalism and total disrespect, Brighton's property is closed to preseason jibbing.
